Sugarloaf Theatre is excited to announce our upcoming event, 24-hour Theatre, taking place this April in Winona and culminating in a live performance for the community on April 7 at the Winona County Historical Society. The theme will be “Once Upon a Time in Winona.”

During 24-hour Theatre, community members gather to write, direct, rehearse, and perform short, original works for the public within 24 hours.

“We’re so excited to present this event in partnership with another organization that offers such value to the community like the History Center,” says Seamus Schwaba, Sugarloaf Theatre’s executive director.

The event will be free for adults and children ages 12-plus to act in. No audition is required. If you’d like to be an actor for this event, you can fill out the registration form on our Linktree, linktr.ee/sugarloaftheatre. The program will kick off on the evening of April 6 with a short meeting for all of the writers, directors, and actors. On April 7, the group will reconvene and begin rehearsals throughout the day.

For the performance, doors will open to the public at 6:30 pm, and the show will start at 7 pm. Tickets will be $10 per person and are available online now at linktr.ee/sugarloaftheatre.
