McKnight International Choreographer Meryl Zaytoun Murman will be part of Wayfinding: A Creative Conversation and Dance Film Sharing on Tuesday, June 18th @ 7 pm, joined by Winona artist Sharon Mansur, and Minneapolis dance artist Leila Awadallah. The films will explore their shared Arab/SWANA (Southeast Asian and North African) heritage, gender and sexuality, and diasporic bodies, and a guided discussion with Winona State University professor Mary Jo Klinker will center these themes.

Meryl Zaytoun Murman is a Lebanese American choreographer, filmmaker, and multi-disciplinary artist based in Thessaloniki, Greece. The 2024 McKnight International Choreographer Residency is a month-long event being hosted in Winona and the Twin Cities, in partnership with dance/interdisciplinary artist Sharon Mansur and her creative platform, The Cedar Tree Project.
