Concert for Ukraine Raises $1,110

On Sunday April 27, 2025, at 3 pm in Central Lutheran’s sanctuary, the Szlubowska-Belsky Duo presented “From Ukraine with Love,” a concert by Ukrainian composers and others for violin and piano. Proceeds from a free-will offering totaling over $1,100 were directed to the UN

Ukraine Humanitarian Fund. The audience was treated to a world-class performance by Polish violinist Marta Szlubowska and Ukrainian pianist Svetlana Belsky.

The program opened with the Ukrainian National Anthem and featured music by Ukrainian composers as well as others from Eastern Europe. The duo performed together and separately with each work more stunning than the last.

For their encore, they performed Frédéric Chopin’s beautiful “Nocturne Number 20 in C# minor.” If you missed this amazing concert or wish to hear it again, a complete recording is available on Central Lutheran’s SoundCloud page.

Much more about the duo including bios, photos, and videos is on their website.
