Next to last Hendrickson Organ Recital November 20
There are only two more chances to enjoy Central Lutheran’s year-long celebration of their magnificent Hendrickson Pipe Organ. On Wednesday, November 20 from noon to 1:00 pm, Central’s own A. Eric Heukeshoven will perform works by J.S. Bach, Johann Helmich Roman, Johann Pachelbel, Flor Peeters, Charles Ives, John Ferguson, and Duke Ellington. Heukeshoven will also create two improvisations based on hymn tunes suggested by the audience. The recital is free and open to all. Donations collected from a freewill offering will support the instrument’s upcoming renovation.
A. Eric Heukeshoven is a composer and multi-instrumentalist currently serving as Director of Worship, Music & Arts at Central Lutheran in Winona. He holds a B.A. in Composition and Theory from the University of Minnesota and a M.S. in Music Technology from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
A website commemorating the organ’s 30th anniversary with programs and recordings of previous recitals and more information about the series can be found at:
