Free Performance to Benefit Winona Symphony Orchestra Children’s Concert

Saturday | February 15 | 7:00 pm
Café Congo (First Congregational Church) | 161 West Broadway

Local piano virtuosos  will present a free, hour-long concert to raise money to help fund the Winona Symphony Orchestra Children’s Concert. This extraordinary piano duo will present a varied program including works by Bach, Ravel and Debussy.

A tradition begun in 1910 by the founder of the Winona Symphony Orchestra (WSO), Carl Ruggles, the Children’s Concert introduces local school children to the beauty of classical music—most for the first time. The pair will even share the piano bench to present a few pieces with four hands.

Admission is by freewill donation with all monies going to the cause. A reception will follow the concert. The door at the canopied entrance on Johnson Street will open at 6:30 p.m. If you can’t make the concert please consider donating directly: winonasymphony/support/donate.

Café Congo is a social action initiative of the First Congregational Church of Winona. All are welcome, always.
