A New Museum Makers Class at the History Center: Beginner Embroidery

The Winona County Historical Society’s popular Museum Makers classes offer seasonal crafts and time-honored skills classes to the public. A new class coming up is Beginner Embroidery, which has two class offerings to pick from, August 3 and August 4, each 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Winona County History Center. The cost is $30 for WCHS members, $40 public. Best for ages 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies are provided and yours to keep. Limited to 10 people per class.
Learn seven common stitches and practice them creating a beautiful floral design. Also use your new sewing skills for creative ways to patch clothing or add custom details to apparel, bags, kitchen towels, and more. This class is led by WCHS member, Mary Nelson, of Mary’s Custom Quilting.
