The Winona Film Society is pleased to present the 1981 documentary film, The Day After Trinity, on October 20 at the Winona Arts Center. Admission is $5 per person and the doors open at 6:30 pm. The film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who led the effort to build the first atomic bomb, tested in July 1945 at the Trinity site in New Mexico. It features interviews with several Manhattan Project scientists, as well as declassified archival footage. The film is directed and produced by Jon H. Else. Learn more.
