The Winona Arts Center presents Peppers, Pumpkins and Ponds – The Pleasure of Pastel Painting with Betsy Midthun October 10 from 10am to 4pm. Pastel is an immensely satisfying medium and is ideal for beginners. The unique quality of pastels is their versatility; they can be used as both a drawing and a painting medium. In this class participants will paint two small paintings during the session. Paintings will focus on values, shapes, layout and design, the importance of lights and darks…and of course, color!
