Sugarloaf Community Theatre is excited to present our 5th annual summer musical, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience. This goofy, larger-than-life, rockin’ musical is based on a book by popular children’s author Mo Willems, the Naked Mole Rat Gets dressed by Mo Willems. It is a beautiful story about acceptance for all. It follows Wilbur the Naked Mole Rat, who decides to break out of the boring world of being an unfashionable Mole Rat and, for the first time in Naked Mole Rat history, dress in style!!

The show features a multi-generational cast of talented local performers including: Zebedee Alford, Lynn Carlson, Edie Davis, Opal Jankoski, Carissa Moline, Beth Pekar, Tim Schwaba, Peyton Wicklund, Penny Woldele, and Sage Young. The show is directed by Seamus Schwaba, musical direction is by Jodi Monerson, choreographed by Jamie Schwaba, costumes are designed by Lorraine Killmartin and Karissa Sanders, lighting and prop design by John Ringlien, and sound design is by Anna Kessler.

This show may be based on a children’s book, but at its core, it is a story about letting people into our communities regardless of their race, beliefs, or gender identity! This is the kind of story that all ages deserve to be a part of right now.

Performances will be on August 7th at 6pm and August 8th at 10am and 2pm at Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 W Broadway St, Winona, MN 55987.
