One surprising choice for a special week in the otherwise ho-hum summer of a child can up the happy game for the entire family. Sure, there is regular old day camp. There’s also summer camping camp. But then there is Sugarloaf Community Theatre’s Stars of Tomorrow, Triple Threat Musical Theatre Camp with an end-of-week production to show for it.
Does your child have a creative spark and an interest in acting, singing, dancing, or theater in general? This summer from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 15-19, Sugarloaf Community Theatre will host its first-ever Triple Threat Musical Theatre Camp, a weeklong musical theater intensive experience for youth who have recently graduated grades 1-8. Students will put together a production of “Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark KIDS,” while learning from experienced musical theater practitioners and building a variety of skills for theater and life. What a gentle and energetic week to help your child shine!
Camp registration fee is $140, which includes a T-shirt, daily snack, and free performance for friends and family. If the fee will make participating in Triple Threat Musical Theatre Camp challenging for your family, please do not hesitate to reach out to sugarloafcommunitytheatre@
You might even want to parlay your child’s newfound theater experience at the June 27 auditions for “Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience,” Sugarloaf Community Theatre’s 2026 summer musical. This goofy, larger than life, rockin’ Mo Willems musical is a beautiful story about acceptance for all. All adults and youth ages 12-plus are welcomed and encouraged to come audition and, if cast, participate free of charge regardless of experience level.
