Gale Star Event Series at Old Main
Celebrating 10 Years of “Gale Star” at Old Main in Galesville
The “Gale Star” series has been in business at the Old Main Cultural Center in Galesville since 2013. Performances often feature professional musicians with the Steinway grand piano acquired in 2011. Acoustics are wonderful in the stone building built in 1862 to be the home for Galesville University. Most performances feature an art display by regional artists and refreshments at intermission where people engage in sociable conversation. The third floor auditorium seats about eighty people in an intimate ambiance. Performances vary from classical to popular to unusual — always offering the public something good to talk about. The Old Main Cultural Center lives within the legacy of Galesville University — with people always learning from other people.
