Every year, the Winona Symphony Orchestra presents a children’s concert that brings in over 1,000 students from schools all over the area. This year, the concert will include Edvard Grieg’s Holberg Suite, based on dance music, and On the Day You Were Born by Southeast Minnesota native Steve Heitzig, which is infused with images and themes of nature and peace. The concert, featuring Alan Dunbar, Professor of Music at Winona State University, is recommended for second through fifth graders. Please contact Margaret Cassidy – mecofscassidy@gmail.com – to reserve your seats.

There are two performances on Tuesday, February 20, one at 9:00 am and one at 10:30 am.

The Winona Symphony Orchestra is a member of the River Arts Alliance. To learn more about the benefits of membership, please visit: riverartsalliance.org/membership/.
