RAA Member Show Update (NEW Information)
October 1 – November 1
Drop-Off Date: Tuesday, September 29
Blue Heron Coffeehouse | Winona, MN
The River Arts Alliance Member show will be held at the Blue Heron from October 1st through November 1st. The main drop off will be from 10:00 to Noon on Tuesday, September 29th at the Blue Heron. Pete Mutschler will also be available in the Blue Heron’s parking lot with his truck to accept your entry from 5:00 to 7:00 on Monday the 28th.
The pickup date for your work at the end of the show will be Monday November 2nd.
The show reception will be on Friday October 2nd from 5 to 7 pm. If you have any questions or need to arrange a different time for, drop off, or pick up, please contact Pete Mutschler at pete.mutschler@gmail.com.
We will be accepting one piece of your choice from each member in good standing. If you would like to become a member or renew your current membership you can go to https://givebutter.com/RAAMembership. (We will accept whatever you can afford to join but our suggested fee is $10/month.)
Reminders for the show:
1) All 2-D work should be ready to hang, with a wire securely attached to the back. Works on paper need to be framed, with a hanging wire.
2) We would prefer it if the work has not been shown in Winona before
3) When dropping off your work we will have some paper work for you to fill out and the information you will need is:
- Artist Name
- Title of the Work
- How you want the medium described
- Contact information and price if the work is for sale
- How we can contact you in the event of an emergency
4) Please make sure your name and contact information is securely mounted on the back (or bottom of the piece)
5) We can not store packing material – so you will need to take that back with you.
6) As always, Artists handle their own sales, hence the need for contact information on the tags.
7) All work needs to be left in the exhibit for the duration of the show. Purchasers can collect their work from the artist after the show.
8) If we can’t display your work safely, we won’t. The River Arts Alliance reserves the right to refuse to accept any submission, based on inadequate hanging device, size issues, or other concerns.
Please keep in mind that the Blue Heron is a business open to the public and has patrons of all ages, please use your best judgement to make sure the work displayed is appropriate for all audiences.
