Wayfinding: an evening of dance films, food, and conversation, curated by Sharon Mansur

You are invited to a special in-person film screening on Saturday, May 30 at 7pm that centers Arab/SWANA (Southwest Asian & North African)creatives and their various navigations and orientations. This event includes Sharon Mansur and Meryl Zaytoun Murman’s new work reflecting on themes and collaborators from Meryl’s 2024 McKnight International Choreographer Residency at Prairie Island Campground, plus an introduction to their Wayfinding project’s creative archive. Also featured in this evening will be a beautiful range of short films by artists Sarah Abdel-Jelil, Yara Boustany, and Brianna Rae Johnson, followed by a discussion and food by Almadina in Rochester.

Admission is $10 at the door, and reservations are encouraged. Please email smansurdancer@gmail.com to reserve your spot and for any accessibility requests.
Street parking is available on East 5th and surrounding streets, and the WAC has an elevator to reach the event space, if needed.
